Investment advisor Stefan Lohmann has defrauded master butcher Waldemar Pückler of five million euros. He therefore wants to travel to Munich to meet the 'cattle baroness' Lucia d'Alvarez and do business with her. Lohmann also travels to Munich to go into hiding. He meets Lucia and falls in love with her, but then has a momentous encounter with his victim.

All in their late 20's/early 30's, they've lost touch over the years -- partially due to general "adulthood," but also due to some past grievances that took root and allowed bitterness to set in. Juvenile detention or retirement home: That's the choice 17-year-old Malu is faced with after she's been caught stealing again. In order to save the girl from imprisonment, her aunt Johanna agrees to take Malu in with her until she has completed her social service in a retirement home. The rebellious half-orphan, whose single father Paul has hardly any time for her as a pilot, initially finds being placed with her aunt just as restrictive as a stay in prison.

Of the eighteen episodes from the first season only twelve are currently known to exist; likewise six of the sixteen editions from the second run are considered lost, and just one of the final ten survives in the archives.
